Just wanted to share a few beautiful photos of some children wearing different Laotian dresses. These were taken a few years ago, and mostly of my little cousin.
These are authentic Lao dresses from Laos. These girls were dancers that were apart of a local Lao Dance team called Royal Lao Classical Dancers.
It’s so beautiful to see new generations here in America wanting to keep traditions alive, and still performing authentic Lao dances just as our ancestors did many years ago.
Many of these dresses, also known as Sinh, are typical wear for women in Lao. It’s easy to put on, and easy to take off. So many women take advantage of that, and wear them around the house or to go out to the town.
They are predominantly worn when they attend an offering service or to visit a temple.
Let me know if you want to see more!
